I was struck by this description of the second act of life I recently read in Life Reimagined:The science, art and Opportunity of midlife by Barabara Hagerty, “When the shadows begin to slant eastward.”
What a great description of this stage of life… the sands of time are fewer and flowing faster…and we grasp at life knowing that the ultimate end is now on the horizon…
