Between two eternities, what will you do with your moment?

I have a small pile of notebooks that have quotes from books I have read or sermons I have heard that have stirred my heart and mind over the years.   I peruse these notes occasionally during a dry season, or to set my focus as I head into a period of ministry or a difficult situation.  They are great resource and at times a great comfort as I often remember the moment I read that quote, or heard that message.   Two that have most stirred my soul in the past few years are these.  A sermon by Doug Banister entitled “dead at 40 and buried at 70” is one that...

About Me

Yep, I blinked and middle age caught up to me.  I now find myself at the age of 55 and fully encountering the Second Act of Life.  I am married to a wonderful and creative woman, Karen with whom I share a passion for hiking the Smoky Mountains.  We have three wonderful and grown daughters, Hanna (X Squad 2014), Rachel and Melody.  we currently live in Knoxville TN and I own a small but busy Furniture Restoration Business called Classic Furniture Restorations (www.grizmo.biz) My Second Act passions are being a grandfather (Carly, Jake and Ally you all rock my world!) and...
